Our Philosophy
At Mary Margaret’s Day Care and Learning Center, we strongly believe that the environment significantly influences the success of an early childhood program. Our approach emphasizes learning through play, creating opportunities for children to explore, create, and imagine while supporting their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
Our Curriculum & Learning Approach
Our curriculum is based on Project Construct, which reflects how children learn through interactions with their physical and social environments. Lesson plans are designed by teachers to include themes and a play-based environment that allows children to choose how they learn while being guided and supported throughout the day.
Safety & Support
The safety, security, and developmental growth of every child is a priority at Mary Margaret’s Day Care and Learning Center. All teachers and support staff undergo required screenings, continue their training each year, and are trained in Infant/Child/Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED. We are committed to maintaining a nurturing environment that supports both children and families.
Caring Teachers & Support Staff
Our teachers and support staff bring a wide variety of education, training, and child care experience to the classroom. Team members include individuals with bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, certificates of proficiency, CDA certificates, and past child care experience. All staff follow guidelines set forth by the Office of Childhood and continue their training each year through classes and community-based learning opportunities.
